Eels in stories.

We have been reading lots of texts about eels to see how the authors decribe them. Here is what I found out.

Athletics day 2020

Yesterday on Tuesday the 3 of November was athletics day for our Kauri and Puriri teams. The weather was cloudy which was good for all the activities. All of the activities were shot put, high jump, long jump, discus, 100 meter, 200, 400 if you are a year six, 800 and also class relays. What i'm happy about is that I came first in shot put. I left early with my mum and dad and didn't see our class come 4th in the relays.

Discovery Time

                       Hi guys today Room 8 had discovery time with room 10 11 and 12. I made a marble ran with                          my sister and Mr Windsor and i had a fun morning.

Mask off competition

Hi guys. This is the mask I made for our face mask competition. 

I tried to make one out of a bandana and 2 hair ties. 

I like how easy it was to make.

I found it really hard to breath through it though.

Three little pigs house

Hi guys room 8 have been reading and learning about the three little pigs

so I decided to try and recreate my own pigs house. 

I made my house with the help of my little sisters. 

We used blankets, sheets, toys and pillows for our house. 

We blocked up the entrance with teddies.

I wonder if the big bad wolf could get in?

What do you think?

What food would you make gigantic?

 I would love to make some gigantic pancakes. Yummmm!!!

BLAKE VR session

 

Today we walked to the vr blake ocean. I liked it because it showed us a lot of dirty seas and clean sea.  I learnt that if everyone in the world picked at least one rubbish up it would be a big difference. The funny part was that a stingray went up and attacked us .😆

For science week we have been trying out lots of mini experiments. My favourite one was when Zac's dad brought in a smoke cannon to show us how air moves.  What is your favourite science experiment?

Bradleys last good bye letter

I am sorry that I didn't get to see you for the last time. I did go to Colleen's birthday party. This time i didn't sit on the cake i was being very good there just wish you could've been there. Elephants

' In our Class we are reading a novel called 'There is a boy in the girls bathroom' and in it the main character Bradley is reading a story about some parents who stole an elephant and went to jail. I made a interactive image about elephants to learn more about them.

Delicious double chocolate brownie

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE

For my bake off I baked a double chocolate brownie

and made a chocolate sauce to

drizzle over the top then smothered it in cream.

When I took my first bite it felt like I was in chocolate heaven.

I rate my brownie a 10/10 :)

Hi guys these are the poppy's that I made for Anzac day. I made it out of some red cupcake cups and I just painted some skewers green for the stems.

Disappearing world

Disappearing World

Piece by piece, the street was disappearing. Ahhhhh! I screamed and
ran as fast as I could. Everything was disappearing like a black hole
just came out of nowhere and started sucking up the street brick by brick.
It was following me fast! I didn't know what to do. There was nothing I
could do but to just run and keep running. I looked back for a second
and saw my whole street gone. What is happening? I thought to myself.
Is this a dream? It must be a dream. *Gasp. I wake up fully drenched in
my own sweat, my heart is beating as fast as a drum. Whew! I am so

happy that it was all just a DREAM.

My cultures

Fun in my Bubble!

It’s been cool in isolation. My Mum made a snack shop for us and we have to do chores and tidy up to earn fake money. Then we get to use the money on snacks. I have been working out in our gym and helping my sisters make cupcakes. We had a delicious Easter breakfast and we have been going on family walks, watching the sunrise, and reading heaps. I learnt how to play checkers and have been winning against my Dad! I have been helping my Mum make bread rolls, playing heaps of card games. We went on a huge 21KM walk to Mangere Bridge and back, which took so long. 

What have you all been doing? I hope everyone is good.

Howick Historical Village

On Thursday Room went to the Howick historical village. We went to learn words that were morse code and others. After that, we went to the olden school. It was a little funny because my friend Angus got a fake smack because we had to count to three and he was scared ...haha.
