Disappearing world

Disappearing World

Piece by piece, the street was disappearing. Ahhhhh! I screamed and
ran as fast as I could. Everything was disappearing like a black hole
just came out of nowhere and started sucking up the street brick by brick.
It was following me fast! I didn't know what to do. There was nothing I
could do but to just run and keep running. I looked back for a second
and saw my whole street gone. What is happening? I thought to myself.
Is this a dream? It must be a dream. *Gasp. I wake up fully drenched in
my own sweat, my heart is beating as fast as a drum. Whew! I am so
happy that it was all just a DREAM.

  1. Well done Bentley, I got a sense that it was all happening very fast by the words that you chose to use and I really like the opening sentence, it hooked me in straight away.

  2. I agree with Miss Haines, Bentley, this has got a really good energy to it and a nice building up of suspense. I also sometimes have dreams that feel so real that I am so relieved when I wake up. Can you remember any dreams like this this that you have had?
