Te Rehutai

 Excitedly, Emirates team New Zealand bounced up and down celebrating their thirty sixth win. I notice that the Emirates Team New Zealand is holding the trophy from America’s cup. I know that the Team all worked hard and that is why they won the America's cup. The supporters of Emirates team New Zealand celebrated together with them. Emirates Team New Zealand giggled and laughed with everyone because the Team of 5 million all cheered for them.  

Did you know that Te Rehutai means Spirit of the Ocean. Everybody in the team got medals and a trophy. I notice that someone is spraying a bottle of champagne on everyone. The people who watched Emirates Team New Zealand celebrating the win are recording them to share with their friends and family. 

Everybody is spraying champagne and it kind of looks like snow. I wonder how much work it was for them to do to win America's cup. If I was a part of this special team, I would be jumping up on down over and over again happily.

The Tunnel writing 2

 

I notice a huge shark going towards a man and his child. I noticed that they are going fishing and they are in the middle of the ocean with a shark. If I saw a shark coming towards me I would see its fin first. I think the man and child are terrified because a huge shark is approaching them. I would give them advice to paddle as fast as they can to shore. The man and kid look like they are trying to paddle away from the shark.

The Maori man is crossly chopping the British flag down. Why are all the men watching the British flag fall down? The Maori people are all wearing cultural clothes. Why do all of the Maori men have axes and weapons? I can see trees, the sea, a house, the sky and clouds. Why do the men look cross. The Maori people made ground out of leaves and grass. The Maori men made axes with wood and rocks.

Gracefully, the class watched the beautiful water flowing down from the waterfall. Afterwards the class happily skipped around and around the rocks using their imagination. The class foolishly jumped down into the water to swim around happily. What I saw was a teeny tiny little snake or an eel standing next to them on the rocks. I heard drips of water coming down and the class saying how bright and how wonderful this place is. i think the class went to the waterfall because they must have gone on a school trip.

My animal or plant is called a Yammot

My animal or plant looks and sounds like this  …. A Yammot is a little white furry creature who has big feet and is the size of an adults hand. A Yammot looks a bit like a mini yeti combined with bigfoot. They make ‘bom bom bom” sounds.

You can find my animal or plant  … Yammots are only found living on Mount Cook in New Zealand.

My animal or plants spend it’s time …. Yammots love to sleep so they spend most of their time sleeping.

It eats  … Yammots only like to eat cold stuff like ice and snow. 

When my animal or plant is in danger it  … If a Yammot is in danger they roll up into a little ball and roll away.

My animal or plant is special because  … I think Yammots are special because you can only find them in  New Zealand.

You might not have seen  my animal or plant because  … Yammots live on Mount Cook which is the tallest Mountain in New Zealand so not many people go there. They are also very shy and hide in barrows in the snow.
